This is the profile of my daughter. She graduated with honours with a double degree in Accountancy and Financial Management from the Singapore Management University. She is working in Singapore with a multinational bank in the position of Assistant Vice President, and has been in that country since 2007. She completed in 2019, the two year MBA (Part-time) degree programme at National University of Singapore.

Whilst her roots are in Karnataka, she has not lived in this state at all (in view of her father's postings) and is not very fluent in Kannada. She is basically a Mumbai girl and her outlook & views have been shaped by the cosmopolitan nature of this city. She has grown up in different cities (both in India and overseas) and is very adaptable. She has a large circle of friends, has an amiable disposition and places a high value on interpersonal relations. Her main interests are outdoor activities and social service. She does not know cooking at present but is... more willing to learn if the need arises. She has been given a fair degree of independence and freedom by her parents to determine her choices in life-both personal and professional. She wishes to continue to work even after her marriage.

Her parents and grandparents (paternal and maternal) have spent the bulk of their lives in Mumbai. Her parents relocated to Bangalore from Hong Kong in April 2011 to be close to her aged grandparents. Her father is a management graduate from IIM Ahmedabad, and has worked in different countries and different roles in senior management positions with an international bank. Her mother is a post graduate in dietetics and nutrition, and works with underprivileged children. Whilst her parents have a modern outlook, they believe in the traditional Hindu Brahmin values. They are not overly religious nor are they ritualistic. Her immediate family as well as the extended families place premium on education and simple living, and are a melting pot of various views and cultures. The bulk of the extended family is well qualified and settled in the USA.
